Deepavali catering questions
When is Deepavali in 2026?
Deepavali falls on Sunday, 8 November 2026. Open houses often run through the following week, and weekend dates around the festival are the first to fill.
How much does Deepavali catering cost per guest?
Deepavali buffets start at RM 29.90 per guest for the fixed Bulk menu, from 80 guests. The flexible Standard menu is RM 39.90 per guest and the Signature menu, with specialty rice and a tiffin corner, is RM 49.90 per guest, both from 30 guests. Prices exclude delivery and 6% SST.
How far in advance should we book Deepavali catering?
Orders should be placed at least 2 working days before the event, and earlier for festive dates: weekend slots around Deepavali are the first to fill.
Is your food halal?
We cook every dish using 100% halal-certified ingredients. If your venue or organisation has specific halal documentation requirements, tell us when you enquire and we will confirm what we can provide.
Do you cater Deepavali open houses at home as well as offices?
Yes. We deliver to homes, offices and event venues across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, set up the buffet line and clear it away afterwards. Delivery is charged per trip and confirmed with your quote.
Are there vegetarian dishes?
Yes. Vegetarian dishes such as aloo gobi and chana masala sit naturally on a Deepavali menu. Tell us about any dietary needs when you enquire and we will plan the spread around them.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is charged per trip, based on distance from our kitchen:
- Petaling Jaya — RM 30
- KL city centre, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, USJ, Sunway, Kelana Jaya, Puchong, Cheras, Kepong, Ampang, Sungai Buloh — RM 60
- Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, Klang, Semenyih — RM 100
- Set-up above ground floor without lift access — RM 300
What is included in the set-up?
Three set-up tiers, each building on the last:
- Basic (free) — serviettes, a disposable tray, plates, cups and cutlery
- Standard (RM 500) — adds transportation, table decoration, a skirted long table, chafing dishes and 3 hours of waiter service

Melamine plates are RM 5 per guest per session, porcelain RM 10.
Does someone stay to serve the food?
With the Standard and Premium set-ups, yes: waiter service runs for three hours. The Basic set-up is a delivery and drop-off, so your team serves the buffet.
Do you prepare extra food in case more guests arrive?
No. Portions are prepared on a one-to-one ratio, so we cook for the guest count you confirm. If you expect more people, raise the count with us before the event rather than on the day.
Can I cancel or postpone?
Cancel 14 or more days before the event for a full refund, or between 13 and 8 days for a 50% refund. Inside 7 days there is no refund. Postponements within 3 months of the original date are allowed subject to availability; beyond 3 months the deposit is forfeited.
